The Growing Sleepsack Collection
It’s been almost 4 years since I first tried Tieme’s inflatable StudioGum sleepsack, and I’ve wanted one ever since. I completely fell under the spell of that thing – being tightly, but comfortably held inside all of that rubber, only able to squirm and thrust. The feeling of the rubber as it inflated with me inside… How could I not want one?
I eventually gave in to temptation and ordered mine at the end of last year, and it finally arrived this week. After some confusion over the air valves that were included (it turns out they’re not required at all, and it can be easily inflated without them), Rubberwulf helped me test it out this weekend, and I couldn’t be more happy.
I still enjoy the fact that the top and bottom halves inflate separately, giving some control over how it feels, and ensuring that the gimp inside is sandwiched in the middle of the rubber layers. It is prone to rolling over (due to inflating to a cylinder shape), so it’s a good idea to strap it down to keep it in place.
Unlike Tieme’s version, and to my surprise, mine arrived with internal sleepsack-style sleeves, which is a nice improvement, helping it feel even more bondagey. Unlike my other sleepsacks, it still allows some movement of the legs, and a lot more squirming, but it’s still bondage – you can’t go anywhere, and your movements are mostly useless.
It takes some practice to find the right position for your head once it’s inflated, but once you’re comfy, it’s like floating in rubber heaven. There’s also some slight pressure on your chest when the top half is inflated, but I can quickly get used to it and enjoy being embraced by so much rubber.
This now brings my sleepsack count to 4 – 2 rubber ones, 1 leather, and now 1 inflatable. I don’t think I want any others, but who knows? I have a sleepsack obsession, and they’re hard to resist…
